It started in Paris, during LeWeb3 conference.<br />
During the Conference some politicians came by to tell absolutely nothing and <a href="http://crueltobekind.org/archive/2006-12-12/loic_lemeur_betraying_1000_att">attendees</a> (a lot were -influential- bloggers) <a href="http://blogs.opml.org/tommorris/2006/12/12">were</a> <a href="http://www.sierralog.com/stories/3056857/">obviously</a> <a href="http://druppels.be/oudedruppels/2006/12/le_web_3_old_fa_1.shtml">irritated</a> (check also <a href="http://www.cjung.info/wordpress/?p=86">these</a> <a href="http://www.ewanspence.com/blog/2006/12/13/leweb3-fallout-as-a-speaker-im-not-happy/">posts</a>) Then the second wave of posts emerged, feeded by a post from <a href="http://uk.techcrunch.com/2006/12/11/le-web3-the-good-bad-and-ugly/">Sam Sethi</a> (TechCrunch UK) who was a partner of the conference. It became really interesting when Loic LeMeur himself got into the conversation by calling Sam an &#8220;<a href="http://uk.techcrunch.com/2006/12/11/le-web3-the-good-bad-and-ugly">asshole</a>&#8221; (His comment is deleted).<br />
The whole <a href="http://technorati.com/search/leweb3">blogosphere</a> seemed to fall over each other posting stuff about Loic LeMeurs comment and then last night Sam was <a href="http://benmetcalfe.com/blog/index.php/2006/12/13/sam-sethi-fired-by-techcrunch/">fired</a> from the Techcrunch network. Mike Arrington explained <a href="http://www.crunchnotes.com/?p=322">why</a>. The last word hasn&#8217;t been said about this (see <a href="http://redcouch.typepad.com/weblog/2006/12/fear_loathing_a.html">here</a>, <a href="http://www.tomrafteryit.net/sam-sethi-fired-for-not-deleting-a-comment/">here</a>, <a href="http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/organgrinder/2006/12/sethi_leaves_techcrunch.html">here</a>)</p>
<p>Fortunately, you can buy your <a href="http://www.cafepress.com/leass3">Bumpersticker</a> and T-shirts that wraps this whole story up <img src='http://patrickdelaive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
