New blog: New design wanted
This weekend I’ve registered my own name .com and I thought it would be a good idea to quit this blog and move over to patrickdelaive.com.
A new blog comes always with some questions… how often do you post? about what? personal or business? English or Dutch? wordpress or something else? Well, one thing is for sure. I need a new design.
If you have suggestions on themes, customized themes that rock or have a neat design on your bookshelf. let me know!

Always a bitch. I decided to do personal and business blogging on my blog and ended up with writing almost only about (non-business) books. Probably because that’s the easiest to write about.
I’d always go with English. You partially live online and English is the international language of the web.
And for a blogging engine: I’d go with Wordpress. Easy to set up, works well and lots of plugins floating around.
Design wise: hire someone to make one?
Thanks for the tips Roy,
Wordpress is indeed great, I was testing Tumblr, but that was just too simple too little functionality.
Why switch to patrickdelaive.com? I found 1000times1000.com a great domainname; I remembered it from the first time I saw it;
Domain name complexity is not a problem, since Social Media, search, URL links and bookmarks cover most of the average blog visitors; but people wanting to go back to your site might have trouble remembering your name…
“was it patrikdeleive.com ehm no… patrickthelaive.com… hmmz”
But ignore me if you like, since I run http://www.joopdorresteijn.com and I am doing fine after our VHP (viral-hack-promo) this summer.
Anyway, good luck with finding your direction, and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any troubles
