Good Cab, Bad Cab

Good Cab, Bad Cab

I’m in barcelona right now with Jan Willem (www.jwe.nl). We took a plane at 6 am and are standing in a huge line to grab a cab (with about 200 others).

This is somewhat odd for me. In Amsterdam it is the other way aroud. Cab’s are waiting in line to find a lost customer. But, the answer is not so hard to find, we’re heading to plaza Catalunya (30 minute drive) and it is 25 euros and that is a reasonable price, right? In the Netherlands you’d pay between 80 and 90 euros for the same ride! Thats outragous (how do you spell that?).

A lot of things are good and nicely organized in Holland but our taxi system really s*cks!

  • It’s outrageous. ;-)
And yes, it’s too fscking expensive to take a cab in Holland. Thank God (and the “IB-Groep”) for the “OV-kaart”!

I totally agree Martijn, the only thing is that I’m not (anymore) one of the lucky bastards having an OV :(

P.S. the ride was actually only 20 euros from airport to hotel.
